Certifying Diversified September 2026 Different Events

Dr. Mel’s The One Stop One Shop Grand Mall Present September 2026 News Letter bringing a busy lineup of major festivals, and cultural celebrations, here in Chicago. Starting with Chicago Jazz Festival (Sept 3-6) that offers free world-class live music, featuring international legends, local Chicago talent, and emerging artists at Millennium Park. The annual event includes diverse performances, educational masterclasses, and an open-air community atmosphere. This four-day live weekend presentation will be open to the public over this 2026 Labor Day weekend. The diverse performances will be setup across Millennium Park, various multiple stages including the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and nearby indoor/outdoor satellite venues.  Options for friendly attendees picnicking where people will be able to bring their own food, non-alcoholic drinks, blankets, and folding chairs for the lawn plus permitted personal beer and wine in designated lawn sits.

Some international legends, jazz headliners are Dee-Dee Bridgewater & Bill Charlap Duo, Robert Glasper, the Miles Electric Band (M.E.B.) celebrating the Miles Davis Centennial, and master Cuban saxophonist/composer Paquito D’Rivera. There will be some incredible iconic local talents in some spots like the Green Mill Uptown neighborhood jazz club at 4802 N Broadway and in the South Loop at 806 S Plymouth Ct in Chicago. These different Jazz Showcases will feature local musicians such as:

  • Marquis Hill: A trumpet player who won the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition.
  • Dee Alexander: A powerful and well-known Chicago local jazz singer in the city.
  • And Isaiah Collier: A young Chicago talented saxophonist.

Then the Taste of Polonia Festival will be held at the Copernicus Center in Chicago (Sept 4–7). They will be celebrating with Polish food, their culture, and rock-polka.

The Chicago Educational Professional Development will be hosting conferences scheduled for September 12, 2026 that include programs on emotional self-regulation.  Covering the brain processing, and emotional regulation that’s hosted by Michelle Garcia Winner MA-CCC-SLP and Pamela Crooke Ph.D, CCC-SLP from the Social Thinking Organization regional events, conferences, and workshops frequently hosted in the Chicago area at 737 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 6061. They will explore the power of emotions, how the brain processes negative and positive emotions differently, and why this is important when helping individuals better self-regulate their emotions and behaviors.  This is important for people to learn self -control and self-awareness to live a more balance life.  After the Educational Development conferences, and workshops programs.  On the westside of Chicago there will be a cultural Riot Fest at Douglass Park being hosted (Sept 18–20).

And lastly, in September 2026 the Masterclass Evidence-Based Development Training Program will be hosted in Chicago September 26–27. This evidence-based class concentrates on speech therapy techniques, and reading assessment treatments.
