A Seed Grows Down In Dirt and Grows Up Above the Dirt!

A seed’s journey is a marvel the hidden work growing down into the dirt secures the act of germination. Because a seed roots search for moisture, oxygen, and nutrients in the soil where first development phase being the root system progress. This is where the stability begins its primary rooting foundation against wind and rain to securely anchor itself as a seed firmly rooted. This is most important first; crucial for the reason of a seed to grow up as a plant. For the plant to support itself and absorb enough energy to survive above the surface. This enables the seed stems to break through the soil surface to begin growth upward to meet the light. Where the light becomes the food for the photosynthesis. In this struggle a stem pushing through the dirt requires immense strength, often utilized from the “hidden” energy stores down deep inside the seed that is firmly rooted. Seeds are essential in there growth downward and upward both are important. The more importance changes based on the timeline. A plant with a weak root system (underground) will fail, not recover from damage above ground. However, a plant with a strong firm root deep down in the soil often times will recover from damage above ground and seed stems will break through the soil surface over and again to begin growth recovery every time.

The Metaphor about a Seed is the seed could be exposure to ways to eat healthier. How to start a low impact weight loss program and learning ways to make better choices. Even being exposure to new behaviors to improve ones attitude, and then, get introduce to God and God Word. All this starts with planting a seed inside a person same as planting a seed inside dirt. In order for any of this to grow upward on top first growth starts from down in the inside where seed is planted. Truths, is a seed must be firmly rooted down in a person, in the soil where recover from damage up above will always be able to restart again. Perseverance only apply to how deep a seed of change was deeply planted within. Yes, makes sense? Proverbs 24:16 (“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise againBut the wicked shall fall by calamity”) and not rise up again. This means that while righteous people face setbacks or sins, God gives them strength to recover, unlike the wicked who are destroyed by adversity.

The Four Types of Ground

The (Wayside): On hard ground where birds ate up seeds (snatched God Word away).

Rocky Ground (Stony Places): Shallow soil where the seed springs up quickly but withers due to lack of roots (no root/tribulation). Down deep in the soil.

Thorny Ground: Soil with weeds that grow and choke the plants (worries of life/deceitfulness of wealth). The cares o life chokes the Word straight out!

Good Ground: Soil that produces a crop 30, 60, or 100 times what was sown (those who hear, understand, and produce fruit). The seed that was planted firm & deep into the soil growing stem after stem above ground.  The Metaphor A seed must be firmly rooted down in the soil for continual recovery up top above the soil | from damage to always restart again. Deep rooted seed within a person shows recovered determination to dust yourself off get backup (try it again).

God Word

The parable of the seed falling on different grounds—often called the Parable of the Sower—is found in Matthew 13:3-9, Mark 4:3-9, and Luke 8:5-8. Jesus explains that the seed represents the Word of God and the soils represent different human heart responses. But just like a plant with a strong firm root deep down in the soil this is what must be with humans believing and knowing the Word of God.
